What is meant by FSSAI license? How to get it online?

FSSAI or Food Safety and Standards Authority of India was launched as per the Food Safety and Standards Act in 2006. It controls various orders and acts that involve handling food associated issues in several departments and ministries. The FSSAI license is developed so as tofollowscience-based measures for food articles and to control their import,sale, distribution, storage,and manufacture to ensure the presence of wholesome and safe food for consumption of humans. It is compulsory for all the food manufacturers, restaurants and traders and others who are associated withthe food business. They are commonly referred to as FBOs or Food Business Operators.

How to apply for FSSAI food license online?

· To obtain the license, the FBOs should have a valid mobile number and personal email ID that should remain in active status.

· For the registration process, the FBOs should hold a valid mobile number and personal email ID.

· The FBOs name should be mentioned rightly in the application. It should be mentioned without any errors since it appears on the food license.

· After submitting the application successfully, the system would generate an exclusive reference ID for each application.

The online application form and the acknowledgment form should be printed and attached along with the Demand Draft. If you want to pay in form of Demand Draft, you need to attach the associated documents that are necessary for the application. The necessary forms and registration fee should be submitted to the regional office or state authority of FSSAI. It should be submitted with fifteen days from the submission date of the applicationvia online.
